Inter Miami had an unforgettable 2023. They became in a few weeks one of the most popular clubs in America. The arrival of Lionel Messi changed everything and allowed them not only to gain the attention of fans from all over the world, but also to compete for titles, something they had never been able to do before.

But now that will not be enough. The demands will be much greater and they will have to be up to the task. That is why the chiefs and coach Gerardo Martino are working to bring in more top players to join Leo, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. Luis Suarez, star of the Uruguayan national team and former Barcelona striker, was the first to agree to his arrival, but he will surely not be the only one.

Vacations for them will end in the first week of January and they will have to start preseason training in Florida. The first days will be key to improve the physical condition of the players, and then the matches will begin. The first friendly will be on January 19 against the El Salvador National Team at the Cuscatlan Stadium.

Then they will travel to Asia to play several matches. On January 29 they will face Al-Hilal as part of the Riyadh Season Cup, which will have a second match on February 1 against Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr. Three days later they will fly to Hong Kong to play against an all-star team from that league. And finally they will return to Miami to face Newell's Old Boys of Argentina on February 15.

When does the season start?

On February 21, Inter Miami will debut in the 2024 Major League Soccer season against Real Salt Lake at DRV PNK Stadium. They will then have two more league matches, against Los Angeles Galaxy and Orlando City, before beginning their journey in the CONCACAF Champions League Round of 16: they will face the winner of the match between Nashville SC and Moca of the Dominican Republic on March 4 and 13.
