Paris Saint-Germain suffered an unexpected defeat last Friday against Nice in Ligue 1. However, no one seemed too worried, as everyone knows that the real objective is not the French league but the Champions League. For more than a decade now, when the Qatari sheikhs bought the club, they have been trying to win Europe's most important tournament. But so far they have been unsuccessful.

In fact, in the last two years they could not even get far, as they were eliminated in the round of 16 by Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. This caused a crisis in the side that ended with the departure of two coaches, Mauricio Pochettino and Christophe Galtier, and several stars such as Lionel Messi, Neymar, Marco Verratti and Sergio Ramos.

This Tuesday PSG will start their journey in a new Champions League. For the first match of group F, they will play at the Parc des Princes against Borussia Dortmund. As usual, the day before, coach Luis Enrique gave a press conference and spoke about this new challenge: “We are motivated in all the competitions we are going to play. The goal is to go as far as possible. This club is ambitious, of course, but I think it is necessary”.

Then he surprised everyone by talking about PSG's demand to win the title and said: "When a team, a club, is obsessed with something, it's not a good sign. You have to have illusion, hopes, ambition? Obsessing doesn't work in any area of life. We are excited and motivated, with a great desire to make our fans enjoy themselves, but there is no obsession".

He's not worried

Luis Enrique was asked about his team's start to the season, in which they have won two games, drawn two and lost one: “It's true that it hasn't been a great start. It has always happened to me with the teams I have been in. It's a process. I'm not asking for time, because I know how this works, but I'm very calm. Good soccer will come for sure”.
