"I don't like it, but at Real Madrid I have to do it", Rodrygo's confession

In this October's international break, the Brazil National Team played last Thursday against Venezuela in Cuiabá and did not show a great level. And next Tuesday they will have one of the most difficult matches of the South American qualifiers: they will travel to Montevideo to face Uruguay at the Centenario stadium.

As usual before each match, one of the players of the Brazilian squad gave a press conference. This time it was Rodrygo Goes, who spoke about the match against Uruguay, in which he will face his Real Madrid teammate Federico Valverde. About this he said: "I talk a lot with Valverde. He told me, 'Don't come, stay in Madrid.' I'm a big fan of Fede's game; he's one of the best players in the world."

He then spoke about his role in the Brazilian team: "Sometimes I'll be on the flanks, in the center, every striker has his style and plays in a different way. It depends on how the team approaches it and how we plan the attack".

However, he then surprised everyone by confessing how he feels about the position he sometimes occupies at Real Madrid: "I've always made it clear that I have the ability to play on the wings, I just don't like to play as a 9, although at my club I have to do it. In Brazil I have more freedom to move around".

Rodrygo Goes has been criticized in Spain in recent weeks for the few goals he has scored lately. This season he netted in Real Madrid's La Liga debut against Athletic Bilbao and then never managed to score again. He has 10 games without scoring with Los Merengues, between the Spanish league and Champions League. With the Brazilian National Team he netted twice in the match against Bolivia on September 8, but could not do it again against Peru and Venezuela.
