The Three Lions will play at Wembley Stadium for the last time this year.

The England National Team is one of the best in Europe and the world right now. Coach Gareth Southgate has found a style and strategy that fits the players' characteristics perfectly, and he has been able to take advantage of the team's strengths. This allowed them to easily overcome their opponents in Group C of the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

The Three Lions won 5 of the 6 matches they played, and only drew one. As a result, they lead the standings with 16 points, 3 more than Ukraine and 6 more than Italy. Thanks to these good results, they secured their place in the tournament to be held next year in Germany, even though they still have two matches to play.

What they have not yet secured is the first place in the group. For that, they will have to get at least a draw in one of the two matches of this November international break. The first opportunity will be this Friday at Wembley Stadium against Malta. If they fail to do so, they can try again next Monday against Macedonia.

For the match against Malta, coach Gareth Southgate chose this starting lineup: Jordan Pickford; Kieran Trippier, Harry Maguire, Fikayo Tomori, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Marc Guehi; Jordan Henderson, Conor Gallagher, Phil Foden; Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford. In addition, the substitutes will be Sam Johnstone, Aaron Ramsdale, Rico Lewis, Ezri Konsa, Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish, Kalvin Phillips, Declan Rice, Cole Palmer, Bukayo Saka, Ollie Watkins and Jarrod Bowen.

For them it is an almost impossible mission

Malta are the worst team in group C and one of the weakest in Europe. So far they lost all their matches in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, but this Friday they will try to surprise England. Coach Agius chose this XI: Henry Bonello; Steve Borg, Enrico Pepe, Jean Borg, Joseph Mbong, Yannick Yankam, Matthew Guillaurnier, Teddy Teuma, Ryan Camenzuli; Paul Mbong, Kemar Reid.
