One of the most interesting games of the upcoming weekend in Europe will be played at the Olympic Stadium Lluis Companys in Montjuic. There, Barcelona and Girona will face each other on Sunday. The latter are one of the leaders of the La Liga standings, along with Real Madrid, with 38 points, while the former are one place below, with 34 points.

For both teams it will be an ideal opportunity. Los Blaugranas have the chance to close the gap with one of their main rivals in the tournament and get closer to the top, while Los Tozudos could make a huge difference if they can get a win away from home.

That is why no player wants to miss this match. Among them is Ronald Araujo, a Barcelona defender who suffered a serious facial injury last weekend. The Uruguayan player had a collision with Atlético Madrid's Marcos Llorente that, although it caused him a lot of pain, did not prevent him from playing. But this week he underwent medical studies and the results were bad: he has a fracture in his cheekbone.

The club's specialists concluded that it is not necessary for him to undergo surgery, but in order to be able to play for the next few weeks, until the injury heals, he will have to wear a protective mask. And this Thursday Ronald tried it on for the first time during the squad's training session. The images were shared by the club and surprised everyone: Araujo looks like a superhero with the mask, in the style of Batman or Captain America.

What will be his position?

It is clear that Ronald Araujo will be part of the starting lineup for Barcelona vs Girona. What is not yet known is what position he will play in. Coach Xavi Hernandez has used him in his natural position, as a centre-back, but also as a right-back in games where they have faced dangerous left-wingers, such as Girona's Savio.
