Al-Nassr won on Saturday the title of the Arab Club Champions Cup, the tournament that brings together 37 clubs from the Arab world competing in the Asian Football Confederation and the Confederation of African Football. In the final they defeated Al-Hilal, another Saudi Arabian team, 2-1.

They had started losing because of Michael's goal 5 minutes into the second half, but when the team needed it most, Cristiano Ronaldo appeared and everything changed. 14 minutes after the opener, he received a drilled cross from the right and scored the equaliser. The tie remained until the end of regular time, so they had to go to extra time. There again, the Portuguese was the hero, capturing a rebound after Fofana's shot and heading home to make it 2-1.

With CR7's goals, Al-Nassr won their first title of the season and vindicated their failure in the last Pro League, in which they finished second behind Al-Ittihad. Moreover, this was Ronaldo's first title since his arrival in Saudi Arabia in December 2022.

However, the Portuguese striker's celebration could not have been 100% happy, as one detail caused social networks to be flooded with mockery for an unbelievable reason. The Arab Club Champions Cup trophy is an obvious copy of the World Cup, which caused many viewers around the world to make comparisons between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, laughing at the Al-Nassr player for not being able to win the World Cup with Portugal.

Not the only problem

Another situation that happened after Al-Nassr's victory caught the attention of fans. At the trophy ceremony, Cristiano Ronaldo received the award for the scorer of the tournament, but incredibly he was not chosen as the best player of the final, which was awarded to Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. This provoked the anger of the Portuguese striker, who did not hide his anger and made gestures referring to the two goals he scored.
