Paris Saint-Germain will have a very different team in the 2023/24 season compared to last year. The failures in the last two Champions Leagues provoked the discontent of the fans and the chiefs, and that led to the departure of several stars. Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos were the first, but they are surely not the only ones.

Kylian Mbappé could follow the same path, whether he is transferred to Real Madrid, loaned to Liverpool or stays in Paris, but out of the team by decision of Nasser Al-Khelaifi, as punishment for not renewing his contract.

Another star who has a chance of leaving is Marco Verratti. The Italian midfielder has been a key player in the team since his arrival in 2012 from Pescara. Since then he has played more than 400 games and won 30 titles with the Parisian side. In recent seasons he was even skipper, which shows his importance on and off the pitch. However, conflicts at the club in recent years seem to have led the player to consider leaving this summer.

There are several clubs interested in him. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid tried to start negotiations to sign him, but gave up when they found out the impressive salary he has in France. That is why the favorites to take him now are two Saudi Arabian teams, which have no problem paying big money to stars since Al-Nassr signed Cristiano Ronaldo for more than $200 million a year.

Where can he go?

As newspaper reports that Verratti agreed his salary with Al-Hilal, but they still could not convince PSG to agree to sell him. The French side are seeking $30 million for him. However, in the last few hours another Pro League club appeared: Al-Ahli. According to L'Equipe, coach Mattias Jaissle wants to add him to raise the level of the team, which already has stars like Riyad Mahrez and Roberto Firmino.
