Lionel Messi won his eighth Ballon d'Or last week. Never before has a soccer player been chosen so many times as the best in the world, and hardly anyone else will do it in the future. In an interview with ESPN UK, Harry was asked about a player he would like to be teammates with and answered without hesitation: "I mean, I'd love to play with Messi. Yeah, one of the greatest players ever to play our game". And then he joked: "I'm sure he'd be able to give me a few assists."

It's going to be hard to make it happen

Despite Harry Kane's desire, Lionel Messi's career appears to be far from Europe. After 19 years playing there, in Spain and France, the Argentine forward decided this summer to go to Inter Miami to play in Major League Soccer, a less demanding tournament where he has regained the fun of playing soccer away from the pressures of Europe. And at 36 years of age, he will hardly be able to play in tournaments on the other side of the Atlantic.
