Cadena SER's explanation is that Florentino Perez no longer has the enthusiasm he had for Mbappé a few years ago. In the summer of 2022 they had reached an agreement to sign him, but at the last minute Kylian changed his mind and renewed his contract with PSG. The Real Madrid president never forgot this. And now, with the arrival of Jude Bellingham and the excellent level of Vinicius, he no longer believes it is so necessary to sign another star.
