Arsenal are one of the biggest spenders in England during the last transfer window. Coach Mikel Arteta convinced the chiefs to pay more than $250 million to sign some top players to help improve the team and allow them to compete with Manchester City. That's why they bought Jurrien Timber, Kai Havertz and Declan Rice.

However, two of those three signings were disappointing. Timber was barely able to play two games this season, as he suffered a serious injury on his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest from which he has yet to recover. And Havertz never showed the performances expected of him and gradually lost his place in the team. The only one who adapted quickly and justified the fortune he cost is Declan Rice.

With this scenario, The Gunners are starting to plan their next moves in the 2024 transfer window. Considering that the signing of Kai Havertz did not work out, they may be looking for another attacking player, and the chosen one could be Florian Wirtz.

The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder is only 20 years old, but he has already proven to be one of the best players in the Bundesliga. In fact, this season he is leading his team to the top of the standings, above giants like Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, with 6 goals and 10 assists in 17 games. That is why several important clubs in Europe are interested in him, such as Real Madrid and Barcelona. But to get him they will need to pay a fortune: he is worth $90 million.

He is very smart

When asked about the players Arsenal should sign next summer, former player Jermaine Pennant told King Casino Bonus: "I think Arsenal should have gone for Wirtz, his footballing IQ is off the charts. He's not a speed merchant but he's clever on the ball and he seems to always pick the right pass. His assists are great, he has an eye for goal and I think he'd be a fantastic addition to Arsenal, he'd fit in perfectly there."
