Despite winning the Bundesliga on the last thrilling matchday, Bayern Munich ended the 2022/23 season with mixed feelings. The Bavarian team has struggled in the domestic league and has fallen short of expectations in the Champions League, being eliminated in the quarter-finals by Manchester City.
With the aim of improving their performance, Bayern's board has started the search for new signings. Among them is the addition of a right-back who can elevate the performance in that position, considering the departure of loanee Joao Cancelo and the potential exits of Benjamin Pavard and Noussair Mazraoui.
It's not surprising that Bayern has their sights set on Kyle Walker. According to Sport1, the club's officials have already initiated initial contacts with the player, who does not rule out leaving Manchester City during this transfer window.
While the exact amount that Bayern Munich would be willing to offer for Kyle Walker has not been revealed, it is evident that Manchester City would not be able to demand a considerable sum.
Walker, the 33-year-old English international, has his contract expiring in 2024, which means that if he is not transferred this summer, he could change clubs without Manchester City receiving any financial compensation a year later.
