The Spanish National Team had a great performance in their third match in the Euro 2024 qualifiers and got an important 7-1 victory against Georgia at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena in the city of Tbilisi. This allowed them to improve their situation in the group A standings. They are now in second place with 6 points, although still far behind the leaders, Scotland.

Spain's superiority over Georgia was evident from the first moments of the match. In fact, they went into the break leading 4-0, thanks to two goals from Alvaro Morata, one from Dani Olmo and the remaining one was an own-goal from defender Solomon Kverkvelia. And things didn't change after the break, as Morata scored a hattrick and also netted two players who had come off the bench, Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal.

The Barcelona winger made his debut and became the youngest player to do so in the history of the Spanish national team. With only 16 years and 57 days he surpassed the record held by another Blaugrana player, Gavi, who in 2021 had made his debut when he was 17 years and a few months old. And that's not all, as Yamal also scored a goal with a good left foot shot. Obviously, he also became the youngest player to score a goal for the Spanish national team.

After the match Lamine gave an interview and said: "I am living a dream, I have to thank my teammates and the coach for the trust, and everyone who has helped me along the way. I am very satisfied and happy with the decision to play for Spain, we have a long road ahead of us".

Not all good news

Despite the win against Georgia, coach Luis De La Fuente must be worried. This is because during the match two important players of the team, Marco Asensio and Dani Olmo, had to be replaced due to physical problems. This means that they may not be able to play against Cyprus on Monday, September 11.
