Sergio Ramos has been present in the media and social networks throughout the summer. Since his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, he became a free agent and can negotiate with any club wishing to sign him. Reports indicate that he received offers from Flamengo of Brazil, Boca Juniors of Argentina and Major League Soccer clubs.

However, he rejected those offers. His intention, apparently, was to return to Sevilla, the club from which he emerged in 2003. But the Spanish side showed no interest in signing him and preferred other center-backs such as Argentine Federico Gattoni. He was also mentioned as a possible signing by Real Madrid after Eder Militao's serious injury, but finally Los Merengues decided not to sign new defenders.

With that scenario, Ramos' destinations were reduced to two: Turkey and Saudi Arabia. In Besiktas and Galatasaray he had the motivation to compete in international tournaments in Europe, while the Pro League had a clear advantage in the economic aspect. And the latter seems to have prevailed.

According to Marca, Sergio Ramos is close to agreeing to join Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia. There he will earn a fortune and join other top stars, such as his former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema, as well as N'Golo Kanté, Fabinho and Jota. Nuno Espiritu Santo's side are third in the Pro League standings, with four wins and one loss, and behind leaders Al-Hilal.

Will Mo join him?

Al-Ittihad are still not satisfied with the signings they have made this summer and are targeting Mohamed Salah. The winger is Liverpool's biggest star, so the English chiefs do not want to let him go, but reports indicate that the player's desire is to go to Saudi Arabia and he has already expressed this in private meetings. According to Sky Sports, in the next few days Al-Ittihad could offer almost $250 million for him.
