This Tuesday Real Madrid announced the renewal of the contract with Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian winger was linked to the club until June 30, 2024, so it was necessary to negotiate with him and his agents to agree his permanence in Spain. It had been rumored for several weeks that they had reached an agreement, but this had not yet been confirmed.
They finally did after Vini's return to Madrid, having been present at the Ballon d'Or awards ceremony in Paris. There he was chosen among the 10 best players in the world for his performances during the 2022/23 season and also won the Socrates award (in honor of the former Brazilian player) for his efforts against racism and his charity work in Brazil.
Vinicius signed a new contract with Real Madrid until June 30, 2027. He will also receive a significant salary increase that will make him one of the most expensive players on the squad. And his exit clause will be $1 billion, which will make it almost impossible for him to leave for another club without the consent of Los Merengues.
And according to AS, he won't be the only one. This week, probably on Thursday, Real Madrid will announce the renewal of another star of the squad: Rodrygo Goes. The Brazilian forward will sign a contract until June 30, 2028 and will have, like Vini, an exit clause of $1 billion.
In addition to Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, other young Real Madrid players have multi-year contracts and $1 billion clauses. They are Aurélien Tchouaméni (until 2028) and Jude Bellingham (until 2029). And according to reports, other stars have also reached an agreement and will soon be officially announced: Federico Valverde, Eder Militao and Eduardo Camavinga.
