Neymar Jr. will soon be back on a football pitch as he is almost fully recovered from the ACL injury he suffered last October. The Brazilian star is set to play for Al Hilal in September, and he will likely be called up by the Brazilian national team for the World Cup qualifiers. Brazilian fans can't wait to see Neymar back as Brazil was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Copa America by Uruguay on penalties last week. Luis Suarez was a part of the Uruguay team that eliminated Brazil, yet he gave some advice to the Brazilian national team to see his former Barcelona teammate Neymar succeed and win the World Cup like how Lionel Messi won it with Argentina in the 2022 World Cup. Suarez said, "If Brazil wants to be the World Champion in 2026, they must do like Argentina with Lionel Messi, bring in ten players who will play for Neymar Jr. only.” Neymar will likely play in the 2026 World Cup and it could be his last one with Brazil.
Dorival Junior, the head coach of the Brazilian national team, hopes that Neymar will return but knows about the bad injury he suffered. Dorival Junior said, "Neymar is being followed very well, he is in a very clear development process, and he himself told me that. Neymar is doing everything to join us as soon as possible. His injury was very sensitive, it was not as simple as they think. He should be as careful as possible, and in my opinion, he should not rush to return."
Brazil's manager believes that Neymar should be fully fit enough for Al Hilal to be considered for the national team. Dorival Junior said, "After all these months and all this waiting, I think he should wait a little until he can strengthen his muscles and achieve muscle balance. Neymar is one of the great players in world football and will always be one of the great players in world football."
In September, the Brazil national team will be back in action as they take on Ecuador in the World Cup qualifiers. They will also face Paraguay in September for the qualifiers, and after that month, Brazil will have played eight matches in the qualification for the upcoming World Cup.
