Pep Guardiola is known for his innovative tactical approach and his ability to bring out the best in his players, which has led Manchester City to resounding success. The team excelled both collectively and individually, achieving a memorable season.
Under Guardiola's guidance, Manchester City clinched the Premier League title in impeccable fashion, showcasing a dynamic, offensive style of play and unprecedented effectiveness. Additionally, they reached the final of the Champions League after eliminating Real Madrid along the way.
As a result, Guardiola was named the best manager in the Premier League for the 2022/2023 season. This recognition comes after narrowly missing out on the award last year, with Klopp ultimately winning it thanks to Liverpool's standout performance in the Champions League.
Guardiola won this award through a combination of public votes and votes from an expert panel. With this accolade, the Spanish coach now has four Manager of The Season awards, surpassing José Mourinho's three, while remaining seven behind Sir Alex Ferguson, who won it 11 times.
After receiving the award, Guardiola expressed his gratitude through the Premier League's website, stating, "I'm delighted, it's an incredible honor. I promise you that next season we will be there to fight again and uphold the dignity of this league to the fullest”.
