Chelsea is in the midst of restructuring its squad for the upcoming season and has set its sights on Inter Milan goalkeeper André Onana. According to reports from The Sun, the London club plans to make a swap offer that would include two players as part of the deal.

Following his standout performance in the Champions League final against Manchester City, where he made several impressive saves, Onana has caught the interest of Chelsea's new coach, Mauricio Pochettino, who sees him as the perfect candidate to strengthen the team's goalkeeping position.

Inter Milan has set a price tag of 55 million EUR to let go of the Cameroonian goalkeeper. In order to meet this demand, Chelsea would be willing to include Romelu Lukaku, who spent the season on loan at Inter, and defender Kalidou Koulibaly in the swap deal for Onana. This way, the London club aims to address two needs simultaneously, bolstering the goalkeeper position and rejuvenating the defense.

After a disappointing season in which they failed to secure a Champions League qualification spot, Chelsea is determined to strengthen its squad in all positions. The signing of André Onana would be a significant step in this restructuring process and would enable the team to compete more solidly in all competitions.

Chelsea aims to be among the top contenders

Chelsea hopes that this swap deal will provide greater stability in goalkeeping and contribute to their aspirations of returning to the top spots in the Premier League and challenging for titles both domestically and in Europe. Onana's arrival would be a quality addition with experience for the London side, and his presence is expected to bring security and confidence to the team in the upcoming season.
