Thomas Tuchel admitted as much at a press conference before Sunday's game against Bochum: "It's a strange situation. The mood is obviously a bit gloomy, because we were expecting a reaction from us. That said, we've only lost the first leg and we're not out of the Champions League yet. We are all committed to turning things around."

The manager was then asked about Harry Kane, who is rumored to be unhappy with the team's performances, and said, "He's not happy with the level in games. Neither are we. I've rarely seen such a discrepancy between training and games. The way he scores in training, the way he takes his chances, it's unbelievable. He's world class. But we rarely meet him in games. He acts like a captain. It's all good with him."

Kane arrived this summer at Bayern Munich in exchange for more than $110 million from Tottenham. His main motivation for leaving the Premier League was to play for a club competing to win titles, something he never achieved in his professional career. But things are not going his way: the Bavarian side lost the German Super Cup, were eliminated from the German Cup and are far from the top of the Bundesliga standings.
