Bayern Munich need a win this Sunday against Freiburg at the Allianz Arena to prevent Bayer Leverkusen from pulling further away from them in the Bundesliga standings. Xabi Alonso's team scored a good 3-0 win against Koln and are leading the league with 19 points.
But the Bavarian side are confident in their virtues and that's why from the start of the match against Freiburg they took control of the ball and dominated their opponents, settling in their field. And they quickly got the opener thanks to Kingsley Coman's genius 12 minutes into the first half.
The French winger received the ball on the right side of the field after a pass from Thomas Muller. The German forward expected him to return it to him, but Coman had a better idea: despite being hemmed in by an opposing defender and the sideline, he advanced a few meters with the ball and shot with his right foot.
This surprised everyone, including Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu, who couldn't react in time to save it. The ball made a strange movement in the air, hit the post and then entered the goal. Many fans and spectators wondered if Coman intended to kick at goal or if he actually sent in a faulty cross that became the opener.
With Kingsley Coman's goal, Bayern Munich gained confidence and controlled the ball and the field even more, while for Freiburg it was a hard blow. And that was not all, as 25 minutes into the first half the hosts scored the second: Harry Kane assisted Leroy Sane and the German winger netted. Kane is not only the team's top scorer, he also makes the difference with his assists.
