The impressive growth of the Saudi Arabian league has impressed everyone. Since Al-Nassr announced the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo for more than $200 million per year in December 2022, the world soccer scene has changed forever. Many top players who shone in Europe have chosen to accept million-dollar offers from Pro League clubs.

This has created a problem for several managers, who see their stars choosing to leave their teams in exchange for a fortune. This is the case of Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kanté, who went to Al-Ittihad, Marcelo Brozovic, who preferred Al-Nassr to Barcelona, and Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibly and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who signed for Al-Hilal.

This week it happened to Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool coach, who in a few days may lose two of his best players: Fabinho and Jordan Henderson. The Brazilian midfielder is wanted by Al-Ittihad for $45 million per year, while the English player has an offer from Al-Ettifaq, where Steven Gerrard is coach.

Now Diego Simeone is in a similar situation. Atletico Madrid's manager is worried about the possible departures of Alvaro Morata and Yannick Ferreira Carrasco to Al-Shabab. The Spanish striker could leave for Milan or Roma, but the offer from Saudi Arabia could change everything. The Belgian wide midfielder, on the other hand, was in Simeone's plans, who now fears losing him.

Another one will leave

Los Colchoneros will say goodbye to another of their stars during this transfer window. Joao Felix is not in Simeone's plans and they will try to negotiate his sale to another club. Although the Portuguese forward intends to go to Barcelona, Xavi is not interested in signing him now, as he prefers to add midfielders. Paris Saint-Germain and Benfica could be options for the Portuguese forward.
