The most important clubs in the world invest every year looking to add stars to help raise the level of their teams. They spend millions of dollars in the hope that they will turn out to be good business. But sometimes this goes wrong and the clubs lose a lot of money, while the players who became stars soon after leave without anyone remembering it.

This is the case of this striker, who performed very well at Everton between 2014 and 2017. This aroused the interest of Manchester United, who had him for two seasons and where he converted more than 40 goals. Then he came to Italy where he shone at Inter and was Serie A champion in the 2020/21 season. Thanks to this Chelsea bought him for more than $115 million, but his performances were far from expectations and today his present is not the best.

He is Romelu Lukaku, the 30-year-old Belgian striker who during the last year was on loan from Chelsea at Inter, where he played 37 games, scored 14 goals and reached with his team the Champions League final in which they lost to Manchester City 1-0. Now the player must return to his parent club, Chelsea, but coach Mauricio Pochettino has already announced that he will not take him into account.

As reported by The Sun, both manager, player and side chiefs agree that it is best if Lukaku is sold during this transfer window.

His possible destinations

With no place at the Blues, Lukaku has a chance of returning to Italy. One of the clubs interested in signing him is Inter, as he left a good image in the two stages he had with the Milan club. The other alternative is Juventus, who are looking for a striker to replace Dusan Vlahovic, who has a good chance of leaving this summer.
