Bayern Munich is about to complete the signing of a 60-million defender

After winning the Serie A title, Kim Min-Jae is emerging as one of Bayern's key reinforcements for the upcoming season. Although Newcastle has also shown interest in the player, it seems that Bayern Munich is leading the negotiations. According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, the South Korean is willing to sign a five-year contract with Bayern.

However, the club will have to wait until July 1st, when the release clause in his contract with Napoli is activated, to finalize the signing. Unless there is a surprise before that date, it appears that the deal is nearly closed.

This potential addition of a new center-back could come at a lower cost than anticipated for the club. According to the newspaper BILD, Kim Min-Jae's release clause ranges between 50 and 60 million EUR, a figure similar to the amount received from the sale of Lucas Hernandez to PSG. This makes the operation fit within Bayern's economic plans.
