Bayern Munich is in search of a forward for the upcoming season, following the failed acquisition of Sadio Mané. The former Liverpool player, who predominantly plays as a winger rather than a striker, failed to fill the goal-scoring void left by Robert Lewandowski, who departed for Barcelona.
Additionally, Mané had issues in the dressing room, which has led the German club to focus on a Bundesliga striker, Randal Kolo Muani. Although Kolo Muani is internationally known for missing the one-on-one opportunity against Emiliano Martínez in the last minute of extra time in the match between Argentina and France in Qatar, the 24-year-old French forward is currently in the best form of his career.
He is the standout figure of Eintracht Frankfurt, having played 41 matches, scoring 21 goals and providing 15 assists. This has led Paris Saint-Germain to also show interest in signing Kolo Muani, prompting Bayern to accelerate negotiations to complete the transfer as soon as possible.
According to Bild newspaper, the Bayern board, led by former players Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic, has made an initial offer of 60 million EUR. However, this offer falls far short of Frankfurt's demands.
According to reports from Germany, Frankfurt is demanding a significantly higher amount for their star player, 120 million EUR. This figure doubles the offer made by Bayern. Kolo Muani is on track to become one of the biggest deals in European football in recent seasons.
