Real Madrid loses one of its stellar additions

For several weeks now, various media outlets have reported on Real Madrid's interest in young player Gabri Veiga, and some almost took his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer for the next season as a given. However, things seem to be different.

Gabri Veiga is one of the young talents in the league, at just 20 years old, and he is poised to have a promising future. He has had an excellent season with his current team, Celta Vigo, although that may not be enough as Celta could potentially be relegated to the second division next season.

Due to the possibility of Celta Vigo playing in the second division and Veiga's impressive season, it is likely that, despite his €40 million release clause in his contract, he will leave the team at the end of this season.

While Real Madrid has shown interest in Veiga due to the potential departures the team of Florentino Perez could experience this summer, Veiga could be heading to another team far from Madrid, as all indications point to a move to the Premier League.

According to some reports, Veiga is very close to signing with Newcastle United, now that the team has qualified for the Champions League next season. The English club is seeking new reinforcements to face the tournament in the best possible way.
