Rumors about the future of French forward Karim Benzema have been circulating for a couple of days, as it was revealed that he received a lucrative offer from the Saudi Arabian league. As a result, Spanish media outlets were already speculating about Benzema's departure from Real Madrid.
After several days, Benzema spoke about the situation and made it clear that there was no reason to discuss his future when his present is at Real Madrid. However, his response did not provide much clarity, so now his coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has addressed the situation again.
First and foremost, Ancelotti reiterated that not everything on the internet is true and had a message for the press, stating that while the media is very important, it is essential to handle situations well because rumors can sometimes cause problems.
Regarding Benzema's continuity, Ancelotti commented, "Benzema is ready to play tomorrow, he has recovered very well. He has one year left on his contract, and we have no doubts here." This confirms that the player and the club are on the same page, and we will see Benzema with Real Madrid next season.
Ancelotti also spoke about players whose contracts are ending and clarified that the decision is in the hands of the players. They know what the coaching staff thinks of them and the role they have in the team, so they have until the end of the season to decide their situation.
