Man Utd targeted this Bayern Munich player and fans are furious: "This is some decline"

The Red Devils need to sign new players to raise the level of the squad.

Fans are not happy about this.

Things have not been going well for Manchester United lately. They had hoped that this season they were going to be on par with Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal, and that they were going to compete for the most important titles of the season in England and in Europe. However, none of that happened.

The team's performances were disappointing, the signings they paid a fortune for did not live up to expectations and that affected the results they got. In the Carabao Cup they were eliminated in the round of 16, in the Champions League they finished last in group A and in the Premier League they are in eighth place in the standings with 31 points, outside the qualification zone for international tournaments.

One of the sectors of the field in which they have had more problems is the attack. Some players have had disappointing performances, such as Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund, Anthony Martial and Antony, while Jadon Sancho has not played since August after having a quarrel with boss Erik Ten Hag. The only difference maker was young Alejandro Garnacho. That is why the chiefs intend to sign a star.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, one of the targets is Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. The Cameroonian striker has not had much participation at Bayern Munich this season, as coach Thomas Tuchel prefers Harry Kane and Mathys Tel, and that is why his departure from the club is possible. With this scenario, he is an attractive option for The Red Devils.

Fans disagree

Once the news broke out, many users on social media expressed their dissatisfaction with Choupo-Moting's possible arrival at Manchester United. One wrote ironically: "Liverpool being linked with Mbappe. Manchester United being linked with Choupo-Moting." Another added: "Choupo Moting might tip them over the edge. I know United aren't who they used to be but this is some decline." And a third scoffed: "I find it hard enough to listen to my brother complain about United, if they sign Choupo-Moting I'll have to move out."
