Klopp is happy.

It is no coincidence that the Premier League is considered one of the best soccer tournaments in the world. Each match is an unparalleled spectacle that can have unexpected outcomes, in addition to having a very high level of play. But one of the characteristics that make the English championship so interesting is the number of teams that have a chance of winning the title, unlike what happens in Spain, France or Germany, where there are usually two or three clubs competing.

Surprise at Anfield Road: Liverpool were beating Burnley, but something happened

In the Premier League there are many more. At the start of the season at least five or six teams started with that goal in mind, and most of them are living up to expectations. This weekend Manchester City momentarily reached the top of the standings after the 2-0 win against Everton, but a few hours later Liverpool regained that place. And Arsenal and Aston Villa have yet to play their matches.

The Reds had the pressure of knowing that the Citizens had overtaken them in the standings. That perhaps affected them during the first minutes vs Burnley because, despite being much better than their rivals, they failed to show it on the pitch. That's why they went to the break with a 1-1 draw thanks to goals from Diogo Jota and Dara OShea.

However, everything changed in the second half. After 7 minutes, Luis Diaz scored the second goal after a pass from Harvey Elliott inside the box. And with only 10 minutes left on the whistle, Elliott sent in a floated cross that Darwin Nuñez connected with a beautiful header, making it impossible for goalkeeper James Trafford to save.

They are still on top

Liverpool fulfilled their goal and overtook Manchester City again at the top of the Premier League standings. They are now leaders with 54 points, two more than the Citizens (who still have a game against Brentford to play). Further behind are Arsenal, who will visit West Ham United on Sunday, Tottenham and Aston Villa.
