Vinicius met an old enemy from Mallorca and you won't believe what happened between them

The 2023/24 season has been a difficult one for Vinicius Junior. He suffered a muscle injury on August 25, in the match between Real Madrid and Celta, which prevented him from playing for more than a month. And in November, while he was with the Brazil National Team in Colombia, for the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, he again had a similar problem, although this time much more serious.

The winger needed almost two months to recover from that second injury. His return was this Wednesday, in Real Madrid's 1-0 victory over Real Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium that allowed Los Merengues to stay at the top of the standings along with Girona.

'Vini' played almost 60 minutes, before coach Carlo Ancelotti decided to replace him with Brahim Diaz. And during the time he was on the field, he showed that his quality is intact. In fact, one of the most beautiful moves of the match was created by him: during the first half, he received the ball in the opponent's half, dribbled past a Mallorca defender with a subtle touch and then shot from outside the box, forcing a great reaction from goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic.

However, he was also the protagonist of an unpleasant situation. When they were still in the first half, Vinicius Junior asked the referee to give a foul in favor of Real Madrid. This angered Pablo Maffeo, Real Mallorca defender, who responded with an unexpected gesture: he put his hands to his face and imitated a cry, insinuating that the Brazilian winger complains too much.

It is not the first time they have had problems

Marca newspaper revealed that a similar situation happened between Vinicius and Maffeo in February 2023, when the Spanish defender (who became an Argentine national and was called up by coach Lionel Scaloni in November) made the same gesture to the Brazilian player. And in September 2022 'Vini' had already had problems with other Mallorca players.
