Leo is there.

Inter Miami have already completed the most demanding stage of the preseason. The objective of coach Gerardo Martino and his assistants was to have almost two weeks of hard training for the players to reach their best physical shape and be in conditions to face a season that will be very demanding due to the number of matches they will play, both in Major League Soccer, as well as in the CONCACAF Champions League and Leagues Cup.

Now, after having successfully passed that stage, it is time to play. This Friday, The Herons will face the El Salvador National Team in the first friendly match of 2024. This will be a great opportunity for the manager to see new players on the field, such as German midfielder Julian Gressel and Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez.

But the fans of El Salvador are undoubtedly the most eager for the match to begin. They quickly sold out the 44,000 tickets that were put on sale, even though the prices were really high (between $200 and $500). That is why the Cuscatlan Stadium will be packed and thousands of people will be able to enjoy the magic of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

A small sample of that enthusiasm was seen during the early hours of the morning, when the plane that transported the Inter Miami squad from Florida landed at the airport. Many fans were waiting for Leo and, once they saw him get off the plane to board the bus that transported them to the hotel, they began to cheer him with the typical "Messi, Messi" chant. The excitement of the people is logical, considering that it is the first visit of the Argentine forward to El Salvador.

They will play more matches

After facing El Salvador this Friday, Inter Miami will return to the United States and prepare for the second friendly match of the year: on January 22 they will face Dallas FC at the Cotton Bowl. They will then begin a tour of Asia, visiting Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and Japan, before returning to Miami to play their last friendly match before the start of the season against Newell's Old Boys at DRV PNK Stadium.
