Messi and Antonela are very happy together.

Lionel Messi is an example on and off the field. He is admired by fans around the world, as well as by other players and coaches, for his talent. No one has done the things he did on the field, such as his dribbling, goals and assists. That has allowed him to become the most decorated player of all time, considering the titles he has won with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Miami and the Argentine National Team.

But his private life has also been a source of admiration and respect. Unlike other great stars, Leo has never been the protagonist of family scandals or unpleasant situations. In fact, with a few exceptions such as his famous argument with Netherland's Louis Van Gaal and Wout Weghorst during the Qatar 2022 World Cup, he has never even had problems with other players or soccer coaches.

That is why the rumors that surfaced during the last few months about an alleged crisis with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo were unexpected. They have known each other since they were children, have been together for more than a decade and have three children: Thiago, Mateo and Ciro. However, the press speculated about problems in their relationship because of some awkward gestures between them during the Ballon d'Or ceremony in October.

Almost three months have passed since then and now another award has been key to dismiss those rumors. Last Monday Lionel Messi was chosen as the most outstanding player in the world during 2023 at The Best awards presented by FIFA. He was not present at the event in London, as he preferred to stay in Florida to continue with the preseason with Inter Miami, and neither did he express himself through social media. But Antonela did: on Instagram she shared FIFA's post congratulating Messi, with several emojis of smiling faces and applause.

Next Monday they will play Dallas FC and at the end of the month they will travel to Asia to begin a tour that will take them to Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and Japan.
