Kylian Mbappé has been one of the best players in the world for years. He started his professional career at just 16 years old at AS Monaco, in 2015, and quickly proved to have a talent different from the others. That's why, after a season and a half, Paris Saint-Germain decided to pay more than $180 million for him and make him one of the stars of the squad alongside Neymar Junior.

At the same time, he came to the France national team and in his first major tournament won the World Cup in Russia 2018, where he scored in the final against Croatia and was voted the best young player of the tournament. That placed him indisputably among the most outstanding forwards in the world despite his young age. Since then many important clubs in Europe have tried to sign him and he has been in the news in newspapers, TV shows and social media due to negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain for the renewal of his contract and speculations about possible transfers to other teams such as Real Madrid and Liverpool.

That is why it is incredible that until now no one knew what his real name is. 'Kiki' shocked everyone by revealing his secret this week, in an interview with Envoyé Spécial. There, journalist Elise Lucet asked him a simple and unexpected question: how to pronounce his name. And the answer was even more surprising.

He revealed that most people pronounce it wrong, with a sound similar to 'eme-bappe', when in fact the 'M' and the 'b' should be pronounced in the same movement. "Because there is no apostrophe," the striker explained. And then he joked that he would "have a lot of work to do" if he had to "correct everyone".
