Bellingham revealed how his life has changed since joining Real Madrid

Just over six months ago Real Madrid paid a fortune to Borussia Dortmund to buy Jude Bellingham. They were confident in the midfielder's talent and intelligence, and expected him to become an important player for the team in the medium term, considering he is only 20 years old. But not even the most optimistic fan imagined that he would adapt so quickly to his new club.

In just a few weeks, Jude proved that he is worth much more than the $110 million they paid for him. He was not affected by the pressure of leading the team in La Liga and Champions League, replacing Karim Benzema (who had left for Al-Ittihad) and Vinicius Junior (who was injured twice during the season and was sidelined for almost three months). He also showed a new facet of his game: his goal-scoring ability. He became a key player in Los Merengues' attack, being the team's top scorer in the Spanish league and the European tournament.

Now, in an interview with Real Madrid TV, Bellingham explained this change in his game: “My role has changed since I arrived at the club. At Dortmund I scored a fair few goals but I played deeper. It was harder to score. Now I'm playing with the best in the world and more at number 10, closer to the box. I'm given the freedom to move all over the pitch and I like to get into the box, be creative, shoot, create and score goals".

He also revealed the changes that have happened in his life off the field since he arrived in Spain: "I feel at home in this city. My family are comfortable. I've had friends come over to see me and they love the city too. People and the fans are so respectful, they treat me brilliantly. I feel as though I've been here for years. You get to know the people at the places you visit more often. They don't see you as Jude Bellingham the footballer, but as Jude the guy who comes in for a coffee and that's great. The people I meet in the city really look after me. I feel at home."

He wants to succeed

Jude Bellingham won his first title with Real Madrid a few weeks ago, the Spanish Super Cup, after beating Barcelona in the final in Saudi Arabia. However, he is not satisfied with that and will try to win two more before the end of the season: La Liga, where they are competing with Girona for the top places in the standings, and the Champions League, where they are in the round of 16.
