Without Mbappé, here are the lineups for the match between France and Germany

The Germans need to win to put their problems behind them.

The Germans need to win to put their problems behind them.

This Tuesday evening, Germany and France will face each other at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund. Despite being a friendly match, it will be a very interesting duel, as two of Europe's top teams will face each other and top stars will be present in both teams.

The Germans have had a difficult week. On Saturday they lost 4-1 against Japan in Wolfsburg and the chiefs of the German Federation decided to fire coach Hansi Flick, who had been heavily criticized since the failure at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, when they were eliminated in the group stage. This Tuesday the interim coach will be Rudi Völler, a former German star, but there are already rumors about the possible favorites to succeed Flick: Jürgen Klopp, Louis Van Gaal, Julian Nagelsmann and Zinedine Zidane.

The good news for them is that they do not have to face the pressure of playing official matches, as they are already qualified as organizers of Euro 2024 and do not compete in the qualifiers with the rest of the national teams.

France, unlike Germany, are in a great moment. In the Euro 2024 qualifiers they have won all 5 matches they played and lead group B with 15 points, 6 points ahead of the Netherlands and Greece, who are in second and third place, respectively. Last Thursday they beat Ireland 2-0, with goals from Aurélien Tchuaméni and Marcus Thuram.

These will be the teams

Boss Völler decided that Germany's XI will be: Ter Stegen; Benjamin Henrichs, Antonio Rüdiger, Niklas Süle, Jonathan Tah; Emre Can, Ilkay Gündogan; Leroy Sane, Florian Wirtz, Serge Gnabry, Thomas Müller. French coach Didier Deschamps chose this starting lineup: Mike Maignan; Benjamin Pavard, Jean-Clair Todibo, William Saliba, Theo Hernandez; Kingsley Coman, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Andre Rabiot; Antoine Griezmann, Randal Kolo Muani. Kylian Mbappé will be on the bench.
