The Portuguese forward was part of the XI for the first time and had a great performance.

Barcelona got a great win in Montjuic against Real Betis 5-0 that allows them to be, at least until Sunday's match between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, the only leaders of the La Liga standings.

This time coach Xavi Hernandez decided to include in the starting lineup the last two signings to arrive at the club during the summer transfer window: Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix. Both had made their debut in the previous match against Osasuna, but this time they played from the start, and did not disappoint the manager.

Especially Joao Felix, who in the first half showed an excellent level and was key in the team's first two goals. He netted the opener after 25 minutes, when he received a pass from Oriol Romeu, controlled the ball, dribbled past goalkeeper Rui Silva and shot with his right foot. And a few minutes later he surprised everyone with a stroke of genius: Andreas Christensen gave him a pass, but instead of controlling the ball, he let it pass and allowed Robert Lewandowski to get in front of the goalkeeper and score the second goal.

This was enough for Los Blaugranas to go into the break with peace of mind. And in the second half they increased the lead with goals from Ferrán Torres, from a free kick, Raphinha, with a good left foot shot, and Joao Cancelo, who like Felix netted for the first time on the Spanish side.

Now they have another challenge

Barcelona got their fourth win in a row in La Liga and are at the top of the standings, but they cannot relax. Next week they will start their Champions League journey when they face Royal Antwerp in Montjuic. Besides the Belgian club, their rivals in Group H will be Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk.
