The Spanish forward had come on minutes earlier in place of Lewandowski.

Barcelona are getting a valuable win at the Estadio Do Dragao in Portugal. In the second match of group H of the Champions League, they beat Porto 1-0 at the end of the first half thanks to Ferrán Torres' goal in the last minute.

Things had not started well for the Catalan side. Porto's coach, Sérgio Conceição, devised a strategy to nullify his opponents' strengths and prevent Barcelona's talented attacking players from having an easy time receiving the ball. And his players carried it out to perfection for most of the first half.

And not only that, they also had some chances to score, such as a counterattack in which Eustaquio received the ball inside the box and shot, but could not beat the resistance of Marc-André Ter Stegen. And the German goalkeeper had a save from Mehdi Taremi's shot from outside the box.

Barcelona had an unexpected problem after 33 minutes: Robert Lewandowski was kicked hard by David Carmo, who sprained his ankle and was unable to continue playing. He was replaced by Ferrán Torres. However, what originally looked like bad news was actually a boon.

He netted the opener

The Spanish player needed less than 15 minutes to make the difference in the match. With stoppage time already in play, midfielder Romario Baro made a ridiculous mistake when he tried to give a back pass to defender Fabio Cardoso. The ball was intercepted by Ilkay Gundogan, who quickly spotted Ferran Torres in a favorable position to score and gave him a great assist. The former Manchester City forward entered the box, faced goalkeeper Diogo Costa and with a soft left foot shot netted the opener for Los Blaugranas.
