(VIDEO) Neither Lewandowski nor Joao Felix, this was Barcelona's unexpected hero

Los Blaugranas drew 2-2 at the Iberostar Estadio and are not satisfied.

Barcelona did not have a great performance this Tuesday in the Balearic Islands. For the 7th round of La Liga, they faced Real Mallorca and drew 2-2, after being behind twice. Xavi Hernández was not satisfied with the result, as they lost 2 points and it could cost them dearly: if Girona or Real Madrid win on Wednesday against Villarreal and Las Palmas, respectively, they will no longer be the leaders of the standings.

It was not an easy game for Barcelona. From the start, Mallorca proved to be very concentrated and created dangerous situations that hurt the Culé defense. After 7 minutes, Vedat Muriqi scored the opener after an absurd mistake by goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen.

In the 41st minute, Raphinha netted the equaliser with a great left-footed shot from outside the box. The celebration was short-lived, however, as near the end of the first half Abdon Prats scored again for the hosts, taking advantage of Ter Stegen's hesitation after a goal kick by goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic and a header by Muriqi.

Barcelona went into the break worried. However, Xavi Hernandez's talk and his decisions in the second half were enough for them to find solutions. The coach decided to make some changes in the first few minutes, with Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez coming on. The latter was the hero of the day, as only 10 minutes after coming on he scored the second goal after a great collective play involving the three players Xavi put in.

No time for regrets

Although Los Blaugranas were not satisfied with the draw, they will have to turn the page quickly as they will play their next game in just 3 days. On Friday, September 29, they will face Sevilla at Montjuic. And on Wednesday, October 4, they will travel to Portugal to play against Porto in the Champions League.
