The striker has scored 4 goals in 4 matches this season.

During the last transfer window, most of Europe's top clubs were on the lookout for strikers. Many paid fortunes to sign them, like Manchester United with Rasmus Hojlund, Paris Saint-Germain with Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani and Chelsea with Christopher Nkunku. And others finally decided to wait to make a decision, like Real Madrid with Kylian Mbappé.

One of the players asked by several clubs is Dusan Vlahovic. The 23-year-old Serbian striker had good performances in the last seasons at Juventus and that caught the attention of other teams. According to reports, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain asked for him, but the Italian club's economic pretensions made a transfer impossible and he finally stayed there to play the 2023/24 Serie A season.

And in the beginning of the tournament, he did not disappoint them: he has scored 4 goals in his first 4 games in the Italian league. This prompted the club's chiefs to decide to start talks with his agent to negotiate the renewal of the contract that expires on June 30, 2026, TuttoSport reports.

However, this will not be easy. Vlahovic has a salary of $9.6 million per season plus bonuses and his contract stipulates increases for each year, reaching almost $13 million in 2026. La Vecchia Signora intend to extend his contract until 2028, but they have financial difficulties that prevent them from offering him more money. That is why they will try to negotiate a reduction of his salary in exchange for more years of contract.

They need him

Dusan Vlahovic has been key for Juventus at the start of this season, scoring 4 of the team's 9 goals in the first 4 Serie A games. In fact, last weekend he netted twice in the 3-1 win over Lazio.
