The Reds manager does not want his top star to leave.

This week the media and social networks were flooded with news, rumors and speculation about the future of Mohamed Salah. According to reports, Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia are planning to make a huge offer for the Egyptian winger to join the team this summer, forming a fearsome attacking duo with Karim Benzema. The Pro League side would be willing to pay Liverpool almost $180 million, and would offer the player a salary of $125 million a year, plus club shares and other perks.

This caused the concern of the English side's fans, who fear losing their main star. Moreover, this comes just a week before the European transfer window closes, so if Salah leaves now, they won't have much time to look for a replacement. And that's not all, as Saudi Arabian teams have time to sign players until September 20.

With this scenario, this Friday Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager, gave a press conference before the game against Newcastle on Sunday and, among other things, was asked about the situation of Mohamed Salah.

The German manager denied that there are negotiations between the clubs and reassured fans, saying: "We don't have an offer. Mo Salah is a Liverpool player and for all the things we do is essential. If there would be something, answer would be 'no'. Mo is 100% committed to Liverpool. Nothing to talk about”.

He’s not the first one

In addition to Mohamed Salah, Liverpool have had to deal with several attempts by Saudi Arabian teams to sign their players. Roberto Firmino left the English side this summer to play for Al-Ahli; Fabinho followed suit and signed for Al-Ittihad and Jordan Henderson accepted a multi-million dollar offer from Al-Ettifaq, in the team managed by another former Reds player, Steven Gerrard.
