The Red Devils need a win and Copenhagen and Galatasaray to draw to advance in the Champions League.

Manchester United no longer have any margin for error. They have not obtained the expected results in Champions League Group A and this Tuesday they will have the last chance to advance to the round of 16. So far they only won one match, against Copenhagen, and drew another, against Galatasaray, while losing the other three.

That put them in a very complicated situation: they need to beat leaders Bayern Munich at Old Trafford and hope that Copenhagen and Galatasaray draw in Denmark. In that case they will overtake these two teams in the standings and secure their place in the next stage of the tournament. But with any other combination of results, they will be irremediably eliminated.

Knowing the importance of this match, coach Erik Ten Hag will field his best players. The exceptions will be those recovering from injuries, such as Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen.

Manchester United's starting lineup will be: Andre Onana; Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw; Scott McTominay, Sofyan Amrabat; Antony, Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho; Rasmus Hojlund. In addition, substitutes will be Tom Heaton, Altay Bayindir, Sergio Reguilon, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Johnny Evans, Hannibal Mejbri, Facundo Pellistri, Daniel Gore, Kobbie Mainoo and Joe Hugill.

They will not relax

Bayern Munich had an almost perfect path in group A. They won their first four matches in a row and quickly secured their place in the round of 16. And not only that, they also took first place. That's why Tuesday's result at Old Trafford will not change their future. However, coach Thomas Tuchel has already announced that he will not allow his team to relax and that they will compete with all their energy in England. The starting lineup will be: Manuel Neuer; Noussair Mazraoui, Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-Jae, Alphonso Davies; Josua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka; Kingsley Coman, Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane; Harry Kane.
