PSG wants Silva at all costs

Bernardo Silva's future could be at PSG this summer if Manchester City decides to accept the exchange offer proposed by the French club. According to 'L'Équipe', Nasser Al-Khelaïfi would be willing to include Marco Verratti in the deal for the Portuguese midfielder, considering that City will need to sign another central midfielder if Ilkay Gündogan eventually decides to leave.

Until this season, Verratti had been considered untouchable, but PSG's management is looking to overhaul their squad, and the Italian could be one of the players deemed surplus. However, Manchester City is not convinced about the exchange.

For Pep Guardiola, Bernardo Silva remains an essential player, so the English club's priority is to renew his contract. Silva's contract expires in 2025, and he is unlikely to leave for less than 70 million EUR, although the player's insistence on leaving could influence a reduction in his price.

For PSG, the signing of Silva would be crucial to convince Mbappé to renew his contract, as the French forward is concerned about the stability of the sporting project. Although his continuity for the 2023/24 season doesn't seem to be in doubt, his free departure next summer represents a risk that Al-Khelaïfi is not willing to take.

Therefore, it is necessary to reinforce all areas of the team. That's why PSG would also be willing to include goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in the deal for Bernardo Silva. The Italian goalkeeper hasn't fully convinced in his first two seasons in France, and the Parisian club would seek to persuade Manchester City to incorporate him into their ranks.
