The Red Devils need a striker and are willing to pay big money for him.

A lot has gone wrong for Manchester United this season. Coach Erik Ten Hag has been harshly criticized for strategic decisions that did not yield the expected results, while there were conflicts that made it difficult for the squad to get along. Injuries to important players were also a decisive factor. But undoubtedly one of the main problems was the poor performance of most of the stars.

And there was one sector of the field where that was most evident: the attack. Marcus Rashford has been far from the level he showed during the previous season, Rasmus Hojlund shone in the Champions League but has not even scored a goal in the Premier League, Anthony Martial and Antony have fed up the fans and Jadon Sancho has not played since August due to a quarrel with Ten Hag. That leaves only youngsters Alejandro Garnacho and Facundo Pellistri off the hook.

That's why the club's chiefs are determined to sign forwards during the next transfer window. According to The Sun, the first target was Serhou Guirassy, a 27-year-old striker who scored 17 goals in 16 Bundesliga appearances for Stuttgart this season. However, the Guinean player also has an offer from Tottenham and apparently prefers that option.

This forced The Red Devils to look for a plan B and they found it in La Liga. Now apparently Erik Ten Hag sent scouts to Spain to look at Sevilla's Youssef En-Nesyri. The striker played the Qatar 2022 World Cup with the Morocco National Team and this season on the Spanish side has scored 5 goals in 16 games.

How much is he worth?

Although En-Nesyri is one of the stars of the team and has a contract until June 30, 2025, Sevilla could let him go for a not too high amount of money. This is because the Spanish side have serious financial problems and need to sell players. According to The Sun, it is possible that $20 million would be enough for Manchester United to buy him.
