The Spurs need a win at home to get closer to Premier League leaders Arsenal.

Tottenham and West Ham United will play this Thursday in London the last match of the 15th Premier League matchday. They already know that leaders Arsenal beat Luton Town to reach 36 points, while Liverpool stayed in second place thanks to a 2-0 win over Sheffield United on Wednesday. The good news is that Manchester City lost away to Aston Villa, so Spurs can catch them if they can get a win at Tottenham Stadium.

However, it will not be an easy mission. Their rivals will be The Hammers, who have had an acceptable start to the season, with 6 wins, 3 draws and 5 defeats. This allows them to be in 9th place in the standings with 21 points, very close to the qualification zone for the Conference League 2024/25.

Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou knows that his team needs to improve. They are 4 games without a win, with 3 defeats and a draw. Injuries and suspensions of important players, such as Cristian Romero, Rodrigo Bentancur and James Maddison have been a decisive factor for those bad results, but the team's performance last weekend vs Manchester City was satisfactory.

That is why the Australian manager decided to repeat most of the players. The starting lineup will be: Guglielmo Vicario; Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Ben Davies, Iyenoma Destiny Udogie; Yves Bissouma, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg; Brennan Johnson, Giovani Lo Celso, Dejan Kulusevski; Heung-Min Son. Also on the bench will be Fraser Forster, Emerson, Alfie Dorrington, Oliver Skipp, Pape Sarr, Bryan Gil Salvatierra, Jamie Donley, Alejo Veliz and Richarlison.

The Hammers are close

A win on Thursday will allow West Ham United to move closer to the qualification places for international tournaments. For them, it will be a decisive match. Coach Davies Moyes chose this XI: Lukasz Fabianski; Vladimir Coufal, Kurt Zouma, Naif Aguerd, Emerson; Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse, Moheammed Kudus, Tomas Soucek, Lucas Paqueta; Jarrod Bowen.
