This is what he said about his two years in Paris

Lionel Messi has opened up about his two-year experience at Paris Saint-Germain in an interview with Mundo Deportivo, where he shared his feelings about his time at the French club.

After his departure from Barcelona, Messi joined PSG in the summer of 2021, but admitted that his time in Paris was not entirely positive. Although he contributed with 16 goals and 16 assists in his second season, helping the team win the French league, Messi's main goal, along with the club, of conquering the Champions League was not achieved.

Messi's fate at PSG seemed sealed after an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia, which led to a suspension and a subsequent decision by the club not to extend his contract. Despite rejoining the team after his suspension, the decision for his departure had already been made.

In the interview, Messi shared his mixed feelings about his time in Paris: "The first year was very difficult for different reasons. In the second year, the first six months, I felt very good, very comfortable at the club, in the city, with my family. But overall, these were two years that were difficult for me."

Furthermore, Messi revealed that during his stay at PSG, he was not happy, and that also affected his family life. "These were two years where I wasn't happy. I wasn't enjoying myself, and that affected my family life." During his final matches at Parc des Princes and during the league title celebrations, Messi was booed by PSG fans.
