Inter Milan wants to win the Champions League and rewrite their history

Inter Milan's next challenge in the Champions League will take them to Turkish territory, where they will try to overcome their negative history in the country. In their last four visits to Turkish stadiums, the Italian team has recorded two draws and two defeats.

Inter's only victory in Turkey in European competitions dates back almost 42 years ago, in September 1981. On that occasion, during the initial phase of the Europa League, they defeated Adanaspor 3-1. The home team opened the scoring with a penalty goal but Inter managed to turn the match around.

Since then, Inter has encountered difficulties on Turkish soil. In 1983, they fell to Trabzonspor 1-0, while in 1987, they drew 0-0 against Besiktas. In the Champions League, they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Fenerbahce in 2007, and in 2011, they drew 1-1 against Trabzonspor.

Now, the team led by Simone Inzaghi will seek to break that negative streak and make history in Turkey. With a motivated squad and the ambition to conquer the Champions League, Inter Milan hopes to break the curse and achieve a positive result on Ottoman soil.
