Manchester United cannot find lasting solutions. The English striker is nowhere near his best and more and more are calling for him to be left out of the starting lineup to make room for other players with better performances.

Coach Erik Ten Hag was asked about this at the post-match press conference and said: "I will talk to him and not the media. I know this issue's coming up and Marcus is investing a lot. We support him and he will return to his form. I repeat myself: he works hard and he's investing a lot, he will get back, he will recover and he gets all our support. I don't go into individual performances."

He did not have a good performance and even starred in an unusual situation, when he started arguing with Ten Hag during the match. The coach ended up waving his arms in frustration at the French player, who also responded with gestures.
