Didier Deschamps' team will play their last home game in 2023.

The French national team had a good year. They recovered from the final lost against Argentina at the Qatar 2022 World Cup and quickly turned the page. Their goal was to qualify for the Euro 2024 to be held next summer in Germany and they achieved it easily: they won all six matches they played in group B and are leaders of the standings with 18 points, 6 more than the Netherlands and Greece.

That is why the last two matches of the group will be for them a mere exhibition. This Saturday they will face Gibraltar at the Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice. And next Tuesday they will travel to Athens to play Greece, in a match that will be important, as the rivals are competing against the Netherlands to secure their place at Euro 2024.

Didier Deschamps decided to include most of the stars of the squad for this Saturday's match to please the French fans, who want to enjoy the best players of the team. Some will be missing due to injuries, such as Eduardo Camavinga and Aurélien Tchouaméni.

France's starting lineup will be: Mike Maignan; Jonathan Clauss, Dayot Upamecano, Jean Clair Todibo, Theo Hernandez; Warren Zaire-Emery, Adrien Rabiot, Kingsley Coman, Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappé, Marcus Thuram. In addition, the substitutes will be Brice Samba, Alphonse Areola, Lucas Hernandez, William Saliba, Axel Disasi, Jules Koundé, Kephren Thuram, Boubacar Kamara, Youssouf Fofana, Randal Kolo Muani, Ousmane Dembélé and Olivier Giroud.

They have a difficult mission

Gibraltar are the worst team in group B and one of the weakest in Europe. So far they have lost all the matches they played in the Euro 2024 qualifiers. That's why they can hardly resist against the world runners-up. Coach Julio Ribas chose this XI: Dayle Coleing; Jack Sergeant, Roy Chipolina, Aymen Mouelhi, Ethan Santos; Joseph Chipolina, Nicholas Pozo, Evan De Haro; Andre Barr, Liam Walker, Lee Casciaro.
