A lot has changed at Paris Saint-Germain in recent months. The failures of the last two seasons in the Champions League were a blow, and caused several stars of the squad such as Lionel Messi, Neymar, Sergio Ramos and Marco Verratti to leave. One of the Spanish manager's most surprising decisions was to give priority to Warren Zaire-Emery in the squad. The young midfielder is only 17 years old and had not had much participation with the team, but Luis Enrique trusted in his talent and he became a key player in the team.

And now he got his reward: he was called up by Didier Deschamps to the French National Team for the matches against Gibraltar and Greece on November 18 and 21, respectively, for the Euro 2024 qualifiers. "He has shown he can be at the highest level. At his age, moreover, he has shown great maturity. He shows that he can take full responsibility," the coach explained in announcing his decision.

If Zaire-Emery plays at least a few minutes in any of these matches, he will break an 80-year-old record: he will become the youngest player to be part of the French national team since World War II. Until now, that privilege was held by Eduardo Camavinga. The Real Madrid midfielder made his debut in 2020 at the age of 17 years and 10 months, but Warren is one month younger.
