After Galtier's statements, PSG comes out to clarify things

The uncertainty surrounding Lionel Messi's future at Paris Saint-Germain continues to generate controversy. Prior to the match against Clermont, coach Christophe Galtier stated that it would be Messi's last game wearing the PSG jersey. However, club officials came out to deny these statements.

It was last Thursday during a press conference when Galtier expressed his privilege of having coached the player considered the greatest in the history of football. He stated that the match against Clermont on the following Saturday would be Messi's last at Parc des Princes.

This situation only fueled the existing rumors even more, and once again, the media has placed Messi in various teams. Some suggest he has everything arranged to return to Barcelona, while others indicate he has accepted an offer from Saudi Arabia.

However, hours later, PSG spokespersons clarified that Galtier's remarks were a misinterpretation on the part of the coach. They added that Galtier intended to refer to it being Messi's last game of the season, leaving the possibility of continuity in the future open.

<br/>They&#39;re not giving up

Although Paris Saint-Germain knows that Messi is no longer happy at the club and wants to leave this summer, the reality is that club officials are not willing to give up and are still trying to reach an agreement with Messi to activate the clause that allows them to extend his contract for one more season.
