The Reds are the group leaders and want to win at Anfield Road.

Liverpool suffered an unexpected defeat last weekend against Tottenham that prevented them from becoming the new leaders of the Premier League standings. Now they need to turn the page and focus on the UEFA Europa League, as this Thursday they will play against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise of Belgium in their second first round match.

In their debut they beat LASK of Austria 3-1 and are first in Group E, two points ahead of their next opponents and Toulouse FC. Now they will try to stay in that privileged place, for which they will need to win at Anfield Road.

That is why coach Jurgen Klopp decided that several of the team's stars will be part of the starting lineup, such as Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez. The Reds XI will be: Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konaté, Jarrell Quansah, Konstantinos Tsimikas; Harvey Elliot, Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo; Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nuñez, Diogo Jota.

Royale Union Saint-Gilloise made their UEFA Europa League debut with a 1-1 draw against Toulouse FC in Belgium. Now they will have the difficult mission to get at least a point on their visit to England. Coach Alexander Blessin chose this starting lineup: Anthony Moris; Kevin Mac Allister, Christian Burgess, Koki Machida; Alessio Castro Montes, Charles Vanhoutte, Loic Lapoussin, Lazare Amani, Gustaf Nilsson, Cameron Puertas, Mohamed El Amine Amoura.

It will be a special match for them

This Thursday at Anfield Road an unusual situation will happen: two brothers, Alexis MacAllister and Kevin MacAllister, will face each other. The Liverpool midfielder (will be a substitute) and the Royale Union Saint-Gilloise defender shared some messages with each other before the match. Alexis told him, "I hope you don't enjoy it. I want you to suffer. I can tell you because I've been to Anfield. As a Liverpool player and as a visitor, too. And as a visitor you will feel the stadium and the crowd," to which Kevin replied, “And maybe you can feel my kick.”
