The Herons are starting to think about next year's team.

Major League Soccer changed forever this summer when Lionel Messi decided to join Inter Miami. From that moment on, fans around the world began to turn their attention to the U.S. league to enjoy the greatest player of all time. That not only helped to increase the number of spectators in the stadiums, the sale of jerseys and subscriptions to watch the games. It also attracted other top players.

Along with Messi, two other stars who shone at Barcelona for more than a decade, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, arrived at Inter Miami in the last transfer window. The Spanish players decided to leave the Catalan side and live a new experience in their professional careers, in addition to reuniting with Leo.

And now the club's chiefs are starting to build the team for next season. The goal of David Beckham and Jorge Mas, Inter Miami's principal owners, is to become the best team in the United States. They know that for that they still need more top players and that is why they have targeted a Real Madrid star: Luka Modric.

This was stated by former Croatian player Pedja Mijatovic in an interview with Cadena SER: "He (Modric) received offers from the United States, from many teams and from this one (Inter Miami) in particular. He already had offers also from Saudi Arabia, but he wanted to stay at Madrid," he said about the last transfer window. And then he added: “Messi himself was personally interested in the possibility. In Croatia a few days ago Modric met Beckham, where they had lunch”.

What will he do?

Luka Modric was for more than a decade a key player for Real Madrid. However, this season his participation in the team is less frequent. In fact, in the last 2 games, against Cadiz and Girona, coach Carlo Ancelotti benched him and he did not play even a minute. Will he decide to leave in January to have more prominence in another club?
